If we all thought that NAU was beautiful, it’s because we never realized that there isn't a jungle on campus. With a long bridge over a rushing stream, a sanctuary is hidden on campus at Universidad Fidelitas, where creatures and plant life of all kinds thrive. The relaxed schedule allows for several visits between classes and activities to soak up the beauty. On Tuesdays one may find NAU students learning the Tango, or tasting exotic fruits. On Thursdays students learn to cook Patacones (fried plantain chips with refried beans) and other comida typica de Costa Rica. At any given time there is a group of students enjoying a laugh and practicing many levels of Spanglish.
We are all very excited to be journeying toward fluency in Spanish! (Especially my basic level Spanish girls!)
